Censorship at Faber Academy in the UK

After that I copied what I had written along with her response and posted that on the forum to warn other students that Faber was censoring speech in an adult academic setting. Within minutes, they revoked my access to the platform and I have now been banned for life.
Last year, I took 7 courses at Faber Academy and received letters of recommendation from professors and staff.

This year, as a Faber Academy alumnus, I had access to the platform and the Alumni area to post stories as well as give and receive critics.

On May 23rd, James Graham, a fellow writer, posted a story titled “Men of Colour” in the “Alumni cross-group critiquing forum” asking for feedback. The story dealt with the topics of race and racism.

On May 24th, James posted an updated version of the story saying, "I've enjoyed reading so many books about race recently that I forgot that race wasn't my story to tell. Therefore, I've re-written my short story and removed race completely in the attached version.” James is a white male by the way.

I did not like the fact that James self-censored himself. I believe all writers should be able to tell any story they wish to. So I wrote him a note in the forum expressing this sentiment while also being critical of BLM and this new “woke”, “anti-racist” movement infecting the West.

Within hours of my post, I received an email from Susannah Marriott, Education Director, who last year wrote me a letter of recommendation, saying that she had deleted my post pending an investigation because she had received a formal complaint.

After that I copied what I had written along with her response and posted that on the forum to warn other students that Faber was censoring speech in an adult academic setting. Within minutes, they revoked my access to the platform and I have now been banned for life.

The curious thing is that James himself thanked me for my feedback and several students defended my stance.
