Gov’t hosting public meetings on Liquor License Bill

The Government of the Virgin Islands (VI) will be hosting a series of public meetings on the liquor license bill to collect feedback from the public and have questions surrounding the bill answered.

The meetings are being hosted by Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), and Deputy Speaker, Hon Neville A. Smith (AL).

Persons encouraged to attend include bar and night-club owners, restaurant owners, persons wishing to open bars are restaurants as well as any member of the public wishing to learn more about the bill.

The first meeting will be held at 6:00 pm at Tortola at the Elmore Stoutt High School on October 11, 2022, and then to Virgin Gorda at the Flax Administration Building from 6:00 pm on October 12, 2022.

The meeting will then be held at Fox’s Bar, Jost Van Dyke on October 13, 2022, at 12:00noon then to the Emile Dunlop Community Centre at on Anegada at 10:00 am.

Persons are also being encouraged to visit the HoA facebook page for a copy of the act ahead of the meetings.
