Jareena Penn has been crowned Miss BVI 2022.
Penn, crown last night, was the runner-up of last year’s competition placing second to Kathyln Archibald-Drew.
Just last week, the Virgin Islands
Festivals and Fairs Committee said only a coronation would happen because of funding.
Luce Hodge-Smith — a former Miss BVI and member of the festival committee — had noted that the coronation was justified as the Penn had participated last year and would have gone through the judging process already.
As the new Miss BVI, Penn not only gets the 2022 Miss BVI sash, but also receives the 2022 Miss BVI Crystal Award, a custom-made crown and crown case, an official photoshoot, an elegant evening gown, a four-piece luggage set and a cosmetic case.
She will also receives a CCT BVI smartphone, a one-year free CCT Freedom Gold package, one year LTE3 service, and one-year CCT Live Gold service. Penn is also the recipient of Cici Lux Designs’ SeaCret cosmetics gift set, EC Soap Co’s customised Miss BVI set that includes soap, lotion, and a Salt Island Salt Scrub, a hike for two from Hike BVI, and a jewellery set from House of Luxury.
