Partied for old year's night? Feeling ill? You may need to call the covid-19 hotline

In a government issued press release, The Ministry of Health and Social Development has confirmed that someone who attended the club Coco-Maya, in Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda from approximately 10:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on Old Year’s night has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Ministry is urging all persons who partied at Coco Maya during that time to self-isolate and to contact the relevant authorities.

Persons, who attended or came into contact with persons who attended Old Year’s and New Year’s festivities are advised to monitor themselves for approximately 14 days for symptoms of Coronavirus.

Symptoms to be on the alert for include but are not limited to; headaches, fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, nasal congestion or stuffiness, runny nose, sore throat, chills/ night sweats, diarrhea, muscle aches, joint pain, loss of taste and/or smell, abdominal pain and/or lack of appetite.
