Several vehicles slide off road due to poor weather in VI- RVIPF

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a press release today, May 23, 2021, urged drivers to exercise extreme caution as road conditions have deteriorated over the last few hours.

"Today several vehicles have slid off the road as a result," the RVIPF said, adding that present flooding and minor rockslides can make driving dangerous.

The RVIPF encouraged motorists to stay off the roads at this time.

"If it is necessary to drive, headlights can help increase visibility and make it easier for other vehicles to see you, therefore avoiding collisions.

"If your windshield wipers are on, your lights should be too. Drive slowly and stay a safe distance from vehicles ahead of you," the RVIPF advised.

A huge boulder fell on to the road at Bell Vue today, May 23, 2021.
