Unclaimed scooters will be sold, auctioned or destroyed-RVIPF

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has reminded owners of seized motor scooters or motorcycles that their machines will be sold, auctioned off or destroyed if left unclaimed.

There is notably a large number of motor scooters and motorcycles in the compound of the Road Town Police Station, some of which have been there for years.

“The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is reminding owners of seized scooters and motorcycles that these items can be collected at the Road Town Police Stations with proof of ownership.

“Seized scooters or cycles that are unclaimed by owners will either be sold on auction or destroyed,” the RVIPF informed via a bulletin today, June 3, 2021.

Meanwhile, police have recently stepped up their campaign against traffic violators and many motor scooters have been seized as a result.
